+1After reading it, still not enough said to sway me from my M1's. The first part says it all, don't go by ratings alone. Need to read between the lines and really examine your own riding preferences. These guys are out tearing it up, if you don't run like that, you may be dissapointed when you only get 2500 miles out of a track/street tire. The M1 would not be my choice if I ran mostly straight roads and did alot of touring, it's going to be bald as my wife's....(sorry, let's not go there) in the middle and tons of tread on the sides. It's all about how you ride!
SorryIf you want more than 3,000 miles out of your tires, you'll not likely find a tire comparison done from a sport bike magazine because what you're looking for is not sport riding.
I'm very interested in the new qualifiers, but I haven't found one problem with pilot powers.
Chaz, how many miles u gettin out of the powers? - KentQualifiers aren't out yet, we have to wait until Jan.
I thought that was one of the best comparisons done lately. The fact that they did part of it on the streets is something they rarely do! Didn't mean to suggest 3,000 miles as a hard number.SorryIf you want more than 3,000 miles out of your tires, you'll not likely find a tire comparison done from a sport bike magazine because what you're looking for is not sport riding.
I'm very interested in the new qualifiers, but I haven't found one problem with pilot powers.but I must disagree ! I got more than 3,000 (actually 4,500 rear to 6,000 front) miles on my Ducs and TLR. And one thing I can assure you is that I don't sports tour on any of them (of course I don't do track days on the same tires I ride on the street either). I do use Mich Pilots though and think they're the best tires I've ever had. Of course I don't ride the Busa like I ride my sports bikes![]()

I totally agreeAnd most tire comparisons I've seen are done at the track. So someone looking for a tire that will last long won't find the info they want from a track tested tire comparison. If you want more than 3,000 miles out of your tires, you'll not likely find a tire comparison done from a sport bike magazine because what you're looking for is not sport riding., that's why I said, "for ME the test wasn't very informative" since I use track tires at the track !![]()
