Sometimes the HOA is just stupid... and then others they are WRONG

Where does the money come from to pay for the common area cleaning if there aren't any dues?

Clean up was part of a Block Party and voluntary. Easy to get high school kids out there for a few hours since community service is required to graduate. They have had parolees and people who opt for community service to pay for traffic fine do it. Also, you used to be able to request money for landscaping common areas as a part of the last mayor's "City Beautification Project". I don't think these funds are still available with all the budget cuts.

I don't know how they do it now since they were forced by the city to absorb a few other neighborhoods that aren't connected.

This is America.....Nobody is forcing you to live in a community that has an HOA.

if you want the right to do what you want with your property, don't live in a community with an HOA....

everybody in the nieghborhhood agrees to live by the rules, just follow the rules or live somewhere that does not have an HOA.

this is not about a veterans rights, this is not about being PC, this not about young people or old people...this is about signing a contract stating that you "give up" the right to as you wish with your property, and agreed to live by the rules and regulations of the HOA....

You cannot live in certian cities without being in an HOA. So in some cases it is forced upon you.
