Saw a busa this weekend that had a single rotor conversion. Basically just the one side had the brake caliper and rotor. Looked kinda interesting, but does it serve a purpose? I thought it would kind of defeat the purpose of a quick stopping bike
Some of the members who drag race, and some who have show bikes will take off one rotor to reduce weight or to expose more of a custom wheel for looks. Not a good idea for a street ridden bike though as 80% of your stopping power comes from the front braks.
This has been cover a million times. Mainly if you haven't tried it then you can't comment on it. I am running 1 rotor, but with SS line, galfer wave rotor, and HH pads. Looking at getting upgraded caliper. I love the way it stops. I am not a 125 mph rider at all times so it works for me. Good bite still stops great. Rode this weekend at the Texas busa meet-up. No issues.
