Should have clarified. For a 1/2 ton it may be the best for fuel economy and occasional towing. Gas cannot replace the diesel in towing and mileage. The big three have been not produced a 1/2 ton diesel yet. This maybe the alternative.

Seems the economy killed the light-duty Cummings. Seems like a more powerful engine with better fuel economy might have stimulated some sales.

Likely in the top 5 for 'ugliest active duty trucks' Runs like a champ, pulls hard, and I'm not worried about scratchin it up.

Under 5 second 0-60 times..even faster the Vette. My uncle worked at Watkins Glen International back in the 90s and he would talk about Ferrari owners being intimidated by these and Typhoons. Nice truck!!!

I think the Lightning was to combat the 454ss, but the Syclone was just plain BAD! Loved that truck. The Typhoon's were cool, but the Syclones were AWESOME!

Still a good looking truck. The style doesn't look "dated" like the 1st gen Lightnings do..

GM built one also. A friend has a 1996 Heavy Half with a diesel. The truck came with 3/4 ton drive train bolted up to 1/2 ton chasis.

The black truck is how mine is going to look and sit when I install the lowering kit and 24's.
