Wanna see what happens when you hit a curb too hard in your truck?

In the almost twenty yrs I've been around the auto business this is a first.

Hit the curb so hard it snapped the axle housing and broke wheel off!

What else happened there? Check out the caliper slider bolts.. WTF?

Also, no dent in the rim? It broke cast iron, but didn't dent aluminum?

i cant believe a curb did that esp in one shot. iv hit curbs hard enough to bend an axle and still havent broken the flange much less the entire housing end and caliper mount.

that metal sheared right along the seam thats got to be a manufacturer defect theres no way it shears perfectly along there without a pre existing problem

I saw that happen to a Lambo but all 4 wheels caved as he slid into the curb left it on the grass just past the sidewalk.

Breaking the flange is one thing. But as it looks in the pic WHERE IS THE AXLE SHAFT?????? did it shear that too????

I'm thinking he was in a slide when he hit the curb. Maybe we can get a pic of the face of the rim thats not showing.
