I like the mod. I like the look. If I was into racing, I wouldn't have it. All of my mods have been for appearance, comfort, and increased safety.

Since you said Midnight is your "go" bike I vote "no".

Good poll though. I love to read the vastly different opinions of people that decided to purchase the same bike! We agree to buy the Busa but differ on the modifications and which is the best color (pearl white of course w/ purple/black being a close second). I love this site! smile.gif

I did mine based on convenience - its easy to replace the hump & seat without tools (with the bar in place). cool.gif

Ken, on Midnight, assuming she's still black since the last we seen her, and assuming the grab rail is black, I'd say for convenience, "Just Do It". smile.gif

I myself however do not care for the look of the hump with the bar on because the bar just stands out and says "I do not belong here". I have never put the hump on my bike for this reason, though I've considered doing so. The only way I would is if I painted the bar to match the Anny color therefore making it blend in a little more, which is why I think it's ok for Midnight, as long as the bar is black.

But what in the he!! do I know, and why should anybody care what I think. laugh.gif , she's gonna be beautiful regardless what you decide.

wow...what can i say...
lets start off by saying that who ever invented the idea to begin with was a lazy mofo who couldnt be botherd with the 2 min it takes to put it on/take it off...
just for that reason it shouldnt be coppied, but obviusly us lazy a$$ americans would be the first ones to ruin thee most smoothed lined bike out there just to save 120 sec...sad...very sad...
in the defense of the ppl who think "it looks cool"...on second thought i have no defense for them, it looks horrible, its pointless, it adds unneeded weight, especially since this is your 'Go' bike, and if you really need to leave in a hurry with a chic throw the dam seat on without the grab bar...
its one of those things, if it came that way from the factory everyone would be complaining about it...its just a bad idea
in short;
DONT DO IT

btw i mean no offense to anyone with my opinons, except to val, wtf dude???!!! laugh.gif
Everyone's opinion here is good - to each his own. Personally, I like the look - but I had a maintenance function in mind when I did mine - that grab bar is how I manuver my bike up and off a rear stand by my self. I do it often enough that I didn't want to have to install the grab bar each time. In addition, when I did the hump storage mod, I did it wrong, and created a small gap in between the hump and the tail, the grab-bar covers the space.... Now that it is on there, I like the way that it looks - but it has nothing to do with passengers....

just trying to keep my post count up... thumbs-up.gif

Thats the great thing about the Busa, to many mods to make. I personally thing the mod is one of the worst looking ones out there. I have had my bike for 3 months and taken the hump off 3 times and just popped the seat on without the grab rail. The appearance really screws up the look of the back end.:D

The Grab Bar Mod is a Gimpy Mod that destroys a perfectly good Seat Cowl.

The Cowl on with the Grab bar is just like the Civic with the Park Bench of a wing, Looks Cheesy.

I think that if LoveStuds was still around, he would do it.

I vote no.

Okay, right now it looks like not doing it has the lead. Will it stay that way?

Doing the hump mod, or choosing a paint color, or deciding to chrome or carbon fiber, or.....

All these choices help make your bike the way YOU want it. Don't take a poll to make this decision, just do what you think will look/work best. For you.

Screw the rest of us! laugh.gif

(BTW, I like the hump mod on my bike, that's all that really matters.)
