Shorting stock kickstand?

Hey guys want know if i could get some help. I plan on lowering my bike 3in. Does anyone know how much to cut out of there stock stand. I have a spare dont feel like messin up 2 of them.

Cut off half of what you lower it. Worked for me.

It would be easier to buy one from schnitz racing that is fully adjustable and they are alot bigger in size.

I got an adjustable one from Trinity and its pretty sweet.
