Hey, new to the boards, and the busa, but i used to ride an 01 1000... and while i had it, i found this site for them, and he had custom wired a secret security switch into the bike. Even if you had my keys, you couldn't have take that bike... it must have been a main power wire, if that helps at all... cuz you couldn't grind the starter, or anything. well, just wondering if anyone has that, or know which wire to tap into. I live in vegas now, and don't want my baby taken. Thanx for any help!!!

1st, welcome! It is customary to post pics of yer scoot - so, post up some pics! Living out in Vegas, we have a few members there: spudley, ToyKraz and a couple others...

It sounds like you may have had an interupt switch somewhere along the ignition curcuit.

If you want an alarm there are several available, also, you might want to look at a RoadLoK.

alright, so i finally got after this... so i cut the orange/white wire up by the headlight... and then i have a lit rocker switch, don't want the lit part, so i'm guessing that's waht the accessory pin on the switch is...

anyways, so i took one end of the cut wire, and soldered it to the power side of teh switch... then took the otehr cut end, and soldered it to the ground side of the switch...

doesn't work...

so what did i do wrong? what should i try?

Nevermind... it's working... but not what i want it to do... alright, the wire i cut was an orange and white up by the left side headlight... that cut the power to the fuel injector, which is alright, but i was hoping to cut the power to the computer, so the starter can't be used. My last one was dead in the water, it wouldn't do anything but light up the dash. Any ideas?

Hey Johnny, you heard of any problems using the orange and white trace wire? I hooked my anti hijack in there (Scorpio alarm) and the limiter cut out at 8500 rpms every time. There are others that this has happened to also. I took the hijack feature off and the limiter went back to normal.

Might just be my model (2002) don't know. However, Scorpio is aware that some Busas have that problem when connected to the orange and white trace wire.

Just curious if you've heard anything more about it? Thanks

that might be due to the Orange W/white tracer operates all the Ingition system and I bet you are getting a voltage drop from the alarm. I would go to the red and be done with it.
