The exchange is just like what you do with chrome and other parts.  You send him your seats and he sends you a set back and keeps your seats (maintains an inventory).  Without exchange, you send him your seats and get the work done on them.  You can do a search for Tobin seats and see many of the currently used designs.  He doesn't have a website, but if you call he can send you pics as well.
You lost me on the Seat Exchange...

Anyhow I have seen the seats on a few sites, but dunno what ones... Wanted to show my GF, she is wanting to get me them with our nicks on it were the back end of the seats raise up on the top of that part. as well as the Hayabusa Symbol on it and done in all RED for back since I have an '04, and a RED/BLACK want the BLACK part to flow side to side with the Black Frame and the RED to Match The RED Bike... NOW that would be killer...

Also thanks for the Response!!!
After rereading the reply, I confused myself. The exchange is correct, you send him your seats and he sends you a set back with the appropriate design which allows him to maintain his inventory of seats. Without exchange, he sends you a set with the appropriate design but charges more because HE has 1 less set of seats on hand. Okay, think I got it right that time.

metal, I have the stock and tried the gel. The stock driver seat is ok, but my heavy ass gets hotspots and sore after a while in the saddle. The gel was more comfortable than the stock seat and is reasonably priced. However, I didn't buy it because I ride a lot on either very hot or cold weather and I am not a fan of gel in those environements. The stock rear has to go if you plan on riding a lot of two up. The corbin has an excellent rear and backrest, while slightly expensive. The tobin has a nice lip at the back of the driver and rear seat and is more reasonably priced. I haven't actually sat on the corbin or tobin busa seat, but I'm sure others will give both rave reviews for comfort.
I am in Fla so heat is terrible here, it is like still in upper 90's right now... No biggy I plan to use the GEL as a 1 seat set up and think I am going Tobin for driver and Passanger when having a passanger on it...

I've tried all the seats mentioned except the gel seat and of the four the Torbin is the winner hands down for looks and comfort. The Corbin is a fine seat , just kind of hard, ridged and the front rides high on the tank not allowing you to slide forward much , if at all. And it feels as if your sitting in the seat instead of on the seat. A touring seat for sure. Not for the twisties. The Stock seat while a good seat all around is not that comfortable on long rides . So it all comes down to how you like to ride and how much money you have to spend . A set of Corbins can set you back over $500.00 .

If you've got a big BUTT and you extend from the gas tank to the hump (or all most) I would suggest a Corbin. The Corbin forces you back to the rear and keeps you off the tank. BUT

, FOR the rest of us NORMAL people, you can't beat the Tobin

The CORBIN front is like sitting on a 2x10 layed across two saw horses... My wife and daughter both like the CORBIN rear with the backrest much more than the stocker. I sold the CORBIN and had Tobin redo my stocker, I love it till the mileage gets above 200 in a single sitting and then it gets a little crampy. I have a Butt Buffer gel pad that I take on longer rides and throw on for the ride home, it works out fairly well.

What is involved in a non Exhange, Is a new under seat thing used, so can exchange front seat with Stock/Gel seat presently being used??? But am interested in a driver and passanger Tobin Seat, All read for Passanger and Red/Black as in Black Strip even with the Black Frame, as well as color Matched Black and RED as well as the Symbol and maybe on the upper back rise in the seat have a name/nick on each one... Can all this be done???

This the Tobin front in flat Blk and Red. The Red is not a great match but looks OK enough. The rear is a Corbin with the backrest.

The cool little bag on the mirror stem holds my Turnpike Transponder and cellphone. I have had it up to 135 and it has not come loose yet.

Now this only my opinion but I think the best seat is stock dont waist your money because the stock seat is the one that has the most padding than any other seat and the riding position is the best.I only tried tobins and the seat looked awesome but felt like a different bike (down and back).Bottom line is when I bought my 05 busa I changed this changed that only to go back to stock. The busa looks so good on the show room floor why mess with it just be happy. If you want to be different than others than leave it stock you will stand out like a sore thumb.

Tobin....with adjustable rearsets to retain the proper "attack" position.
