For your rust in the tank,CLR works good,swish around,let sit,tank off of course,(you have to remove tank so you can check out that pump,repeat if necessary,rinse with water then with some sea foam!!!!hope this works,I've do it with previous bikes

Rust is out of the tank and a new / used fule pump installed, dam the cast $490 new. It runs about 85% better. runs the best when warm up .

She runs good now? My bike is runnin rough. The upper rim of my tank has some slight residue of rust. Maybe there is rust inside? Why did you replace your fuel pump?

Great ideas! I am having a similar problem. Just had the motor redone, and could not get it to run right. Changed fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail, and more, finally got it to run good for one day. Back at the shop needed new valves. Now she's doing it again. She won't stay running right. #3 piston is getting hot. Any other ideas?
