Those are probably pressed in.

If not pressed in, push the center metal out and you should be able to work the rubber bushing out.

Yes the bushings are metal, you already removed the rubber gaskets. When I powdercoat I don’t usually exceed 400 degrees so at that temp the bushings are not harmed.

Mine came black but they're aftermarket.

Outstanding. That helps tremendously if I don’t have to remove them. Now what about the shifter. Does the bushing or rod pivot connector need to be removed? I don’t see anyway for the pivot connector to be disconnected.

One last question, can I powder coat on top of the gray coating or do I need to lightly sand it? My swingarm maker is doing this for free so I want to prep as much as possible for him.

Are you looking to PC the brake / shifter levers black too? If so find out how much the shop is charing. It may be cheaper to purchase aftermarkets which run about $25 ea

Scotchbrite and GoJo with grit, then clean them well. OEM levers are better than cheap aftermarket.

Yea planning on doing the foot levers too. Swingarm maker is gonna powder coat these at the same time. I prefer OEM as long as they turn out good.

I’m gonna get up with swingarm maker to see how disassembled he wants them.
