And have now given their lives in service so that we may be safer here at home.
Agree with the effort or not these were somebodys Fathers, Brothers, Uncles, Grandfathers, Sons, Daughters, Mothers, Aunts or Grandmothers.
Now they are gone.

I thank them and all again for giving and performing a selfless service as serving in the United States Military.

FOXNews.com - 6 NATO troops among 18 killed in Taliban suicide bombing in Afghan capital

This one is difficult for me because it was not in a combat zone and on a public street I myself may be travelling down a few weeks from now.

I for one will never forget a single one and will make sure Adam understands what others have already done for him.

I just noticed that in frame frozen on Youtube video the smallest guy is carrying the biggest gun ?
Its as long as him !
Not too detract from my own thread but I am trying to find a lil humor in this moment of sorrow.

Are you going over there man??? when did I miss this Be safe Bro

Wayne I'm heading over to Cyprus next friday to see my dad and from there I may have to go to Bagram for a couple days for business.
It will be as a civilian and I will be on outside.
Not in uniform nor inside a base.
There is still slight chance I will not have to go to Afg but def going to Cyprus with Adam for 3 weeks.

Well you know the :rulez: be sure to take pics

I am taking Gopro to Cyprus and will shoot some vids from his bike there but if and when i go to Afg that will not happen.
Again I will be in civilian fashion with some friends 'escorting/protecting' us.
To pull a camera or iphone out there to take pics is a big big no no and the ones around me will not allow it.
To have anything in your hand and not be in uniform is asking for trouble from both sides of the equation of there.
I do not want to be the one who helps another sniper make a record shot...

I must have missed it when Afghanistan was removed from the combat zone list...

Your correct as all of Afg is a combat zone but driving down a public street in Kabul you would think is a bit more safe than out in the field with the troops.
No offense meant as all stationed over there everywhere run same risk no matter where they are.
I did not mean it to seem like certain areas are off limits to the fighting..

Blanca, u coming out??....im out in the wild but before I leave I'll hit one of the big bases, and if so I'd like to buy u lunch...perhaps an MRE:laugh: Let me know, who knows, we might be able to meet, just stay safe...its the wild west out here.
