Radar Installation..Need Help

I need to know how u guys hook up your radar detector. Do u directly hook it up to battery with a fuse or is there another way?

There are several ways you can do it. If you use an existing circuit, I would use the headlight circuit since it is designed for a heavy load. Either way your detector needs its own fuse link so you would be better off giving it a circuit of its own and you do not have to worry about overloading an existing circuit.

If you run it straight from the battery, make sure you use a fuse. You may also want to put that fuse in a place that's easy to get to.

there is a "factory" hook up for an accessory behind the guage cluster. You should just use that for your source as its already "fused" and designed for such things.

I use an Escort SOLO battery powered detector.

Easier to hide too.

hey Zuk...do u know which color wire am i suppose to find...the busa is an 03. Also, is this wire a constant power wire?
