R-77 Slip-on

Hey Guys, Just a quick question..
I was installing my R-77 slip-on and the instructions said that "You will be installing a securing rivet into each tailpipe to prevent the tailpipe from rotation"￾ Has anyone tried it without the rivet to see if it will or will not rotate?

I did not use the rivet and have notice no ill effects (rotation or otherwise)....Im looking for opinions as well....

I've installed Yosh slip ons on all of my previous bikes, and none of them used this 'rivet'. I wonder whats different about this one that 'requires' this rivet...How difficult is it to actually put the rivet on? What tools are needed?

drill a 3/16 hole into the header and that will keep the pipe from turning. Then put the clamp over the rivet.
One side like it will be easy the other side (right) the angle looks like it will be a pain.

I have talked to a few people that said I really do not need it, so I will it out. I did take the baffle out and like the sound.

Thanks guys I appreciate the info.
