Quicker than my busa

i know this site is home to a bunch of power-junkies (i'm guilty too), but hey riironman-do you have anywhere in easy riding distance that will allow you to "open'er up" THAT much? don't blow $$ on mods just to shut your bro up. The Busa is dam fast, and while the k5 Gixxr is lighter, IT STILL MAKES LESS POWER. plain n simple. Take him to the drag strip, strap down your front 2", let sum air out of the back tire, n smoke his butt senseless. after he gets tired of chasing you down the 1/4mi, ask him to do a roll'on in top gear from 65 to 120+, and watch him struggle to stay in sight on your mirrors.
Pound for pound, Busa kicks the pants off everything out there. end of story.

agreed...i am going to change my gearing and throw a power commander in. i have slip ons now..but thinking on changing to a full exhaust

Don't worry about the power commander until you do full exhaust.

lose some weight off the busa. She's a heavy 'ol gal right off the floor. You want to change speed and handling?

Lighten up the wheels and rotors. Get aftermarkets. True, it's a boatload of money, but believe me, she's gonna be a whole new beast with less unsprung weight to bog you down.

Move on to a full exhaust. More weight savings and also adds more power.

Just these two mods alone will save you close to 40lbs of weight. And that's a conservative estimate.

Add in a gear change and ooooh boy it's gonna be fun.


Lose the bling...it's time to go for the real thing.

Just think about it...these mods are only the beginning.

hnmmm Before I throw new mods on ...I am wondering about the 07 busa.. I think I will just ride it out until i see the new 07 with more power (hopefully) and see if busa reclaims the throne of top dog.
