I, on the other hand aren't the one on here dictating to others as to who they can and can't criticize....
Any public figure is subject to criticism and the current sitting president gives a lot of reasons for it........
My point is-you have outrage over any and all criticism regarding Trump and none towards any other president.....if you want to play the outrage game, you should be playing it across the board......
The US as a country isn't the problem, the guy in charge of it currently is.............and 20% of our GDP comes from the US verses the 67% you quoted. The US and Canada are intertwined in more than just economics but your current sitting president has jeopardized this relationship, yet this fails to register with you for some reason.....
Here is a cut and paste:
"Approximately 20% of Canada's GDP is dependent on exports to the US, and about 75% of Canadian exports go to the US. This signifies a high degree of economic dependence on the US market.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
- Export Dependency: Around 75% of Canada's exports are destined for the United States, according to CIBC Thought Leadership. This makes the US Canada's largest trading partner.
- GDP Dependence: Roughly 20% of Canada's GDP is directly tied to exports to the US.
- Job Dependence: More than 2.4 million jobs in Canada are linked to trade with the US.
- US Dependence on Canada: While the US also relies on Canada for trade, the dependence is less significant, with only about 1% of the US GDP tied to exports to Canada.
- Energy Sector: A substantial portion of Canada's energy exports, particularly crude oil, go to the US, with pipelines carrying a significant volume of this trade.
- Diversification Efforts: Canada is actively working to diversify its export markets to reduce its reliance on the US, according to a report from the Fraser Institute. "
