port tech heads

anybody have any experience with port tech head porting .i read they did good work but what i dont understand is they 400 to port a head and everyone else charges at leastdouble that . thank you

I have no personal exp, but my best friend had them do his head and rebuild his 05 1k and he puts on TONS of miles on the street every year (Around 20-30k) and it has held up great at the track as well

400 OTD... wow. I guess if it's simply to port the intake runners and not do anything else that price would sound about right to me. Normaly though you would want to swap cams, add adjustable sprockets, new valve springs, have the seats done and valves, maybe even new guides too. That's when the price starts going up.
