lol. I owned one of those once, they called them the ZZR-11 down here. I was quite fond of it too, until I had my hat handed to me by a gen one busa.I just saw a black 1997 ZX11 for $2k obo...must resist, lol
A Canadian motorcycle show on TV did one of these up and put twin turbos on it......yikes.......it was a beast and a half.....
Crazy how that works......Same here. Been athletic all my life playing all sports and doing distance running. Couldn't outrun the high blood pressure both of my parents have/had.
I will post this video as it's interesting to see that the speedometer is almost 20 kms off....I’d like to see and have never seen, is a Blackbird modded up. Their claimed speed was 178 mph with just 1,137ccs. Anyone seen one?

It looks as though this bike was topped out at 173 mph/280 kms/hr
Even the gauge bezels are chrome?!!! Need a welding helmet to ride that thing without being blinded.
I convinced myself I didn’t need 3 bikes and could use the garage space so got rid of the concours but, I want some land so I can build a shop, which means I’ll have to find another excuse as to why I don’t need more bikes since space won’t be a problem. lol! My friend built a shop and, the one thing I learned from his shop build was, always go bigger than you think you need.Yep, I think the 'official' top speed numbers for the ZX11 was 171mph,
and then the CBRxx1100 was 173mph.
I've seen a few Bkackbirds in the $2k-$4k range lately too.
So depending what you want, if the weight doesn't bother you, you can get alot of motorcycle for cheap.
Upgrade the brakes and suspension, and you have a great sport tourer in the $4k-$5k range.
If I had more room I would easily end up with too many bikes, lol

Or just spend an extra 5-7 and get another gen-2 Busa. I know which I'd rather be onI've seen a few Bkackbirds in the $2k-$4k range lately too.

I would like to wire my grip heaters to an "ignition on" circuit. (Not that I have ever left them on and killed the battery...)
It's been a minute since I've played with relays.
With this loom, switching on the key (and hence the tail light), activates the relay, which completes the circuit from the battery to, in this case, my grip heaters?

I spent 2.5 grand on mine back in the day, had the forks rebuilt with valve emulators and an Ohlins with remote preload. After it handled like a dream, like a 750 with good kit. Later on I polished the lower fork legs starting with 200 wet-n-dry and worked my way up to 2000 then autosol. They looked for all the world like upsidedown ones. I polished up a few other bits too, even got so carried away I did the outside of the carbs. The VH was a nice drive too, a V8 Brock pack, beautiful note!

All bitz were coated with Incralac to prevent corrosion.
