Mordern medicine is pretty good too...but I wouldnt put too much faith in it either
The trouble is they keep changing the goal posts. If they want to increase sales, of say a statin drug, they just lower the threshold of where they consider cholesterol dangerous. I watched them do it with osteoporosis scans of bone density. It's all ok by me, I'd never take such drugs as fosamax anyway and the profits do go around society thereby increasing our personal level of wealth. You wouldn't think so but it's true, even if you're retired and not selling services to a Doctor say.

Those test results are consistent with the lab my company uses. My wife shifted us to a "plant based" diet a year ago. I add protien to that. I worked out 200+ days last year. 170# / 5'9". Oh well.
Genetics suck.....

I was in extremely fit condition when I was in the units......had a high cholesterol and had to go on medication even though I was watching what I ate all the time.....

Now have high blood pressure, found out my dad had high blood pressure and most of my siblings have it too..

I don't work out and train anywhere near what I use to but I still train and work out and am careful (kind of) with my diet

I know other people who haven't been to a doctor in a decade or more, smoke, drink and smoke dope almost every day...they'll probably live until they are 100.......

I didn't mean to turn the thread to the medical problems this country has...we were currently talking Carl into a bike build.
It's slow here, we need all the build-threads with pictures going as we can, which bike doesn't really matter.
He needs to build a liter bike......either that or a vintage sports bike....

Right @LC4CARL ......:lol::lol::lol:

I learned this with a friend of mine. He is a 32 year old kid and we love going to the gym. he runs 15-20 miles a week but still has to take medication for his high blood pressure. When I questioned him about it, he told me everyone in his family has the same issue. My family is the opposite, low blood pressure. Sister and I get those sudden drops that make your hand and feet tingly, makes you feel light headed and get the sweats. We get it from dad’s side of the family that suffers from it and weak hearts (several Of them have pace makers). I guess I never thought about the fact that people can inherit high blood pressure just like we inherited low blood pressure amd just assumed high blood pressure meant people not taking care of themselves and not eating healthy.

You should’ve bought an M109r to build so I could enjoy watching it turn into a nice build without spending my own money. lol! I always wanted one of those but in the BOSS edition since I hate chrome.

I've always wanted to ride one of those, and I may buy one for the right price. I looked at alot of FZ10's, and I may seriously still buy one of those.
Who knows what's next, maybe a TL1kR

Same here. Been athletic all my life playing all sports and doing distance running. Couldn't outrun the high blood pressure both of my parents have/had.

Or Maybe…there are lots of variations to consider.

I know that we are all pre-dispositioned to certain traights. We've all had classmates die early. I'm fortunate not to be on any meds at my age. It is frustrating when you think that you're doing everything right, and still have the random concern. Dad is still chugging along in his 80's, so that is hopeful.

I have low blood pressure. Used donate blood. Got my gallon pin. At somepoint, a tech observing me turning pale and losing my vision pulled me aside and said: "Son, I don't think this is for you..."

I just figured that was normal.

I don’t know what you are talking about. There is room in that garage for like 3 more bikes on rear stands. :poke:

I was antagonizing the wife over the weekend. I measured the garage, the cars and the shelves. Then drew it up in a simple CAD program I use for work. Then I presented multiple scenarios of car and shelf placement.

"See, if we block off that side door we seldom use with junk, it will free up 7 square feet!"

Only from my rear view mirror...

I recall reading a write up on the Honda. The journalist was inteviewing the designer. He asked why they didn't use ram air. The response was that they had met there performance objectives without it. It never occured to me, coming from MX bikes, that the objective could be anything other than: "as fast as possible."
