The guy on the video bike should have stayed on the racing line because the crash bike and rider drifted wide.

But hey, that all happens in a millisecond and I can't even ride that fast

Yeah that section of the track keeps bending left...he probably let the bike
straighten out and then it was too late to pass the downed rider on the
left to avoid hitting him

On the website it says the guy recovered.

Can't remember how long the recovery took though...
