Today I rode down to the dealer where I bought Da Train for their open house throw down. Took some pics while I was there and thought ya'll might like to see 'em.


They had Southside Steve from 96 Rock (local rock station) givin' stuff away. They also had a live band playin'. I got there too late to catch the burnout contest and "slow bike" contest, whatever that is. I still had a good time though. It was worth the trip to meet Dan, a local rider from a local sport bike forum, and his wife Jerri. Good folks...

The aftermath from the burnout contest. Wish I'd gotten there in time to get some action pics during the contest. The second picture is a closer shot of the 1.5-2 inch deep rut that Dan said a dirt bike ground out of the asphalt during the contest.

Some guy who works at Cycle City drove his Rubicon up the burnout contest pit wall.

It was a good time. Wish I had got there earlier though...

Actually the term "dirty thong" comes from a hip hop song. I've only heard it maybe once or twice so I can't tell ya much about it. That term just popped to mind when I was postin' that pic.

I dunno, but I assume it was his wife/girlfriend in the crowd that kept yellin' "Don't encourage him!!!". Wondered if it might actually be her jeep.
