OIL LEAK

I have noticed a very slight oil leak coming from around the oil drain plug, and I mean slight, probably 1 drip in 24hrs, I have checked the torque on the plug and it is fine I even double checked the torque setting on the board (thanks bruce) in case I was going mad. I am certainly not going to tighten it anymore. Anyone out there got a fix, remedy, advice, cure, prevention, help, idea.

Your drip may be coming from somewhere else close to the pan.
Look to see if there is a faint trail to the drain plug.

FRANK above. been there, checked that, it is definitely coming from the sump plug.

LANTABUSA below, done that,
How I know it is definitely coming from the plug is a slight glistening of oil just around the plug head where the thread starts.
Thanks anyway.

What frank said, and here's an old trick I was taught years ago;
Take a bottle of baby powder and lightly puff it around the pan, sometimes clean oil is impossible to see, the powder will stick to it and you'll see where it comes from.

Good huntin'
