oil in stator cover?

I am getting a splash of oil inside my stator cover. I am wondering what is the normal amount of oil that others get ?
It is splashing from behind the armature. Is this the norm?

I don't know what the normal amount is but there is supposed to be oil behind the stator cover.

Yep - there will be oil there. It shouldn't be leaking out - but if you remove the cover you'll have some oil.
