Oil cooler block-off hole spacing question.

I've searched all over this site and on google and I can't seem to find the distance between the holes for oil cooler blockoff plates.

I don't really want to take the fairing off again tonight lease:

Can somebody please help me out. (Gen I in-case that matters)

which model and which year are you writing about?
without this information it is easy to get wrong answers.

what should these plates (???) be used for and where exactly should they be mounted.

are you going to leave out the oil cooler completely?
