Hey all,

Just got my first Busa, its a 2001 but last of the unrestricted model. At first glance she appeared unmolested but appears to have problems with the front brakes and gearbox.

i) Brakes are juddering at all speeds and feel really weak, already has goodridge ss hoses, plenty of meat in the pads and standard discs.
ii) Gearbox slipping when upshifting in all gears.

Been going though old threads but would appreciate some more insight.

Thanks guys.

99 and 2000 are unrestricted, 2001 and up are limited to 300kph/186mph.

If the brakes/bars/front end shakes when you apply the front brakes, the rotors are warped and need replaced.
If the lever feels spongey, I would bleed the brakes and see if that helps. If not, the master cylinder may need rebuilt.

If every gear is "slipping", it could be the clutch, clutch master cylinder, or slave cylinder.
How many miles does the bike have on it?

If the clutch is slipping in every gear , wouldn't it be that the friction plates are worn in the clutch basket ?

is it popping out of gear, in every gear? or slipping the chain, or is it in he clutch?

:welcome: to the ORG.
