newb hid question

hey everyone newb here, but not new to the search feature, after trying to find what im looking for decided to post up see what everyone else is doing.

now when installing hid on my kawi and blackbird i had to put two garden washers on the end of the bulb for the clamp to hold light in place, is this a normal practice for the busa as well?

sorry if newb question, just know that hid's dont have the same backing as oem lightbulbs.

the bulbs in the kit i have came with a washer / o ring...also the tabs mated with the oem housing

I have done it both ways. Just depends on how well the bulb seats in the housing.
