New website

Finally got my web site up and running. Well atleast partially anyway.
Thanks to the members that sent pics! They were helpfull.
I will be updating and playing with it as time goes by, but does anyone have any ideas? I am new to this so please be patient and give your ideas in plain english!!

Few Ideas and criticism. I would Change the background from the dark blue to maybe something lighter and with some kind of texture in it, because it is hard to read. Second I would put all your navigations in one area at the top of each page. For instance in the home page they are on the left and in the history page you have to scroll down. Your doing fine for your first site just keep at it. If you need any more advice or just some photoshop work let me know.

Ditto, what albanian said as well as you need more contrast between your text and background. The texture in the background needs to be subtle or the page will look too busy.
