I have a Radio Shack digital sound level meter I used to calibrate my surround sound system. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103667 Seems to work ok. I've never tried the one in your link.

I wouldn't ask you to buy something, LOL. SPL meters are a lot more common now-a-days, more people have them now because of surround sound systems than in the past.
