DO NOT "restore" that springfield rifle! Any alteration can significantly affect the value. Maybe find another that doesn't fire and replace the stock as a complete piece, but NO cutting/splicing!

How is to fire your 44? Mine is an S&W all stainless with a 6" ported barrel.
The weight and the port hold it down so the second shot goes off well.
