(Pipefighter248 @ Dec. 10 2006,15:39) UPDATE:

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got most of the stuff back.
I got all the family pics, baby pics, and bike pics back.
Only thing I lost are a few programs that can be downloaded again and 58 out of 138 bike videos.

Dad kept the discs and will be trying to recover the other videos, but if it doesn't work, then I'll live.
But main thing is that I got all the pics back.

Thank you all.

(300Busa @ Dec. 10 2006,21:23) is that an Intruder?
Yep, 88 750.
Wish I would of kept it, we bought it pretty cheap and it still ran good.

If you're still trying to recover some missing files I highly recommend a program called "inDisc Recovery".
You can download a trial version that will show you all the files on your disc that it can recover. If they show up you just purchase and download the full version.
The well known programs like CDROLLER only listed a few files it could retrieve. inDisc recovered every single file off that corrupted disc.
I was more than happy to pay the $20 bucks for the program.

it's all way best to make sure that the back-up was successful after it's creation and to ensure that any encryption is turned off.....especially on something like keep-sakes.

a re-installation of the application or different OS can change the encryption (depending on method) and then it wouldn't mater what you did...
always be sure to verify an archive with a second source...no matter what program you use.

glad you have most of it sorted.
a couple of useful tips came out of this.
