after a painfull conversation with my daughter this evening asking me my reasons why im pulling them back and how she feels she was never explained why. i told her it was between her mother and i and it was not open for discussion. so she said then she would refuse to get in the car. (she had talked to me 3 times today for lengthy conversations and laughing and all untill it was time for her to ask me to give her what she wanted then BAMN) mother called back and my wife answered and asked her to reason with me and even offered me money to let them stay. when my wife said this was not her decision but between her and me she got angry and hung up. tomorrow looks like a doosy of a day

This is certainly not an easy situation to deal with. Some teenagers now days can be so belligerent and hard headed. They usually do and say what they want with no fear of consequences. You're actually looking out for them and they are too.....silly....to see that! Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Glad to hear,, sorry I did not get to read this till tonight, my mother is a lawyer who does a lot of cases like this..

What it boils down to is the kids want to stay with the "cool" parent..

Yes be your kids friend,, but let them know there is a line and you will enforce punishment if it is crossed.

Glad everyone is home safely. Now the fun part begins. I am sure it will be rocky at first, but once they understand you are their father and the rules are the rules, they will come around. Personally, ( I have no children) I would see about making "mom" have supervised visits for awhile, since she seems to not want to have the responsibility of being a parent. Just my 2 cents.
