My very First mod pics...
I didn't like how you could see through the
Sportech v-flow Balck trans chrome, so I
Krylon fusioned it (3 coats)  Looks nice now.

Now the mudguard Mod. I used a standard woodworking coping saw and penciled in the shape.
after cut, sanded and heated to finish edges.
I curved the license plate bracket and plate to match tire curve

but at least you cut off some of that air brake that slows the beast down!
