Thought I'd add this here as a diary of my winter mods I'm doing.. I have a fair bit of stuff to do / fit and setup..
Today I got the Black Widow "new" design headers delivered. It's been a long time since I've played with bike headers, so I haven't much to compare against. But the build and material and welds look good quality. Will hopefully be fitting up over the weekend.

Looking @ the welds / packing I bet Black widow , and Delkevic are one in the same . The wifes system was packaged / numbered / same key chain / sealant . Except the key chain said delkevic , and sealant was generic branded .
I bet your going to like this ;)

As far as I'm aware, (and I'm only into Busa's for a year or so) V&H were the only other Gen2 options that I am aware of. There may be others but I don't know. I have a set of ixil xtrem black cans that I scored at a great price not long after I got the bike.
I'll weight them tomorrow and post up

Got the oem headers off. Cleaned the block a bit with some degreaser and toothbrush. Pulled the exhaust gaskets. Cleaned and degreased the swing arm. Weighed the new vs oem header, 3.39kg vs 6.8kg. Took some pics down the exhaust ports.

Dropped the swingarm into the powder coater guy today. He took one look and directed me to a "dip & strip" place before he touches it. Guy said leave the old bearings in as when powder coating, the bearing seats won't get coated and make pressing new bearing in easy. Still deciding if I want gloss black or a different colour for the swingarm...
Have decided when fitting new bearings to the swingarm, to also do the lower control arm / link assy thingy bearings while the bike's in a gazillion bits..
Also my braided brake and clutch lines arrived today :)

Akrapovic make a 4-1-2 system for Gen 2 , as do Brocks make a ti CT system , but a lot of dollars . So I am also looking forward to seeing it fitted and dyno runs etc. , looking like some good grunty mods happening there Otta bro .
Just repeated what @c10 said about those pipes , anyway , I got new glasses now , now where did I put them .....

The exhaust came back home today. And the rear brake caliper. Exhaust is ceramic coated inside and outside.. Then a black ceramic layer on top. Reduces radiant heat by about 22 deg C. The brake is ceramic coated also. Just got to hand stencil the top of the lettering on the caliper in black.

Well, you made a nice job of that clean up!
I had to do the same to my 99 when I had the swing arm off to do the bearings.... never came out looking as new as yours does lol.
A lot of work, takes ages eh!

Not much happening due to work commitments...

Forgot exhaust gaskets yesterday.. Grr.. Back to the dealer.

Everything is back from the powder coaters. The swing arm is getting some new bearings fitted.

Today trial fitments of brake and clutch M/C reservoirs and plumbing.

Today went around with a tap set and cleaned out all the old thread lock.
