personally, i haven't had a problem on the back country roads but possibly if your a track star. i generally kick my feet back prior to a corner and stay on the balls of my feet.

Like Schism said as long as you stay on your balls of your feet you are fine. If you are the type to ride with your instep on the pegs and toes hang down you may have issues. Buell pegs lower your peg location approx 3/4"
