Was interested in having the best all around gear for gen 2 busa. I know there is going to be sacrafice / more bottom end less top end / and vice versa. Bless me with your Knowledge........:bowdown:

2007- I have 17 front 43 rear.....the police cars can now keep up, but I'm way faster in the 1/4

With gen1 I ran 9.5s for quartermile and 208mph for mile with stock gearing just by extending the rev limits and tuning bike accordingly.

Now with gen2 I expect to be able to do about the same with stock gearing just by changing the limiters.

In our racing bikes we use vortex just for more durability and weight savings.

Do the stock gearing. Works great for everything.
I agree, this motor likes the stock gearing best on road and track.

When I ride double up with my wife we usually go with 45t rear which makes it more fun.

I run faster times in the 1/8 or 1/4 with the 43 stocker (aluminum) than I do with the 45

I run 41 and 42 in the speed runs but the stock gear doesn't top out until 200 on the mark. LSR

1 tooth down will put you over.
