Montana Speed Limits

Anyone know what the highway speed limits are in Montana? How strict are the police in enforcing the speed limits?

If memory serves me correctly they are now 75mph on Interstate, 65 mph secondary highway during the day and 55mph secondary highway at night. And yes, the Montana State Patrol likes doing their job....

Gone are the days of "reasonable and prudent" and man did I have fun living there back then....woulda been better with the busa.

Got back without incident. In fact the only police I saw was one in the city of Lolo.....thank goodness

Learned something new... So at the very top of Bear Tooth there was a sign that read Speed limit 70mph... I told Steve on the radion that someone was out of their mind when they put that sign up there at 11,000 feet because someone would actually think that it was okay to go that fast on that...
