Metal Cover - Left Side Under Cowling

What is the name of the metal cover that protrudes from the under cowling on the left side of the bike? Is it the magneto cover? For some reason I think that the magneto cover is on the right side of the 09' 'Busa.

Well, I believe it's called the "Stator cover". The generator/alternator lies under it.

Stator cover or magneto cover on left side/clutch lever side. Right side is clutch basket/clutch cover.
