Maxton's Fastest Nitrous Bike

Jim Owens of Norway, MI. accepts a congratulations handshake from his Firehouse Captain and a check from Tiger Racing for $250.00 for beating the record of the "Fastest Nitrous Bike" at Maxton.  Jim secured this honor by riding to a blistering 218.648 MPH on his ZX-12 Kawasaki.  Great Job Jim!

Jim is an excellent example of the many things we appreciate in land speed racing: He is quiet and modest, almost to a fault.  He is willing to experiment with his own bike.  He goes very fast on a small budget.  He does it all without access to a dyno!

And he is a nice guy and a pleasure to spend time with.
