I picked up these LED button lights, they have worked well on trailers and trucks. I didnt want the kit that uses one dual action LED requiring a resistor.

I drilled 3/4 hole in the housings where there was clearance within the fairings and chassis.

Red for the rear and clear white for the front.

The red is barely visible but the front is impossible to notice.

I think it lights up perfect for what I was hoping for.

All in all, Im lovin it

So how did you wire them in?
I used the same stock ground the indicator bulbs use. in the rear I spliced into the park positive for the taillight.
My left side cowling has a volt gauge, so I just tapped into that for the front lights.

These lights turn on with the front and rear lights like stock, no way to turn them off unless you switch off the bike. My bike can not run unless all lights are lit. Might be different in the US..

The Gen2 has such horrible looking rear indicators, I went with blackout lenses right away. The only problem is people can't see them when I turn them on. Sure looks sharp with the blackout concave lenses though. Thanks, LEDs are in order. I always physically turn my head and look before changing lanes or turning though. have smoked tail light too. I probably should look nto LEDs for that as well. The fully black tail on my 08 sure looks sweet but you have to ride in traffic.

My bike had those dark covers on the rear signal lights too.....they were the first things I took off because I want to be seen, especially from the rear, I don't want to give some idiot an excuse....

Yup, I've had other motorists do sign language a couple of times to tell me they can't see my tail lights in the day. It's kind of dangerous but hopefully some LEDs will solve that. The bike looks so good with a solid black tail.

Yeah I love the look of the dark concave. It bothered me having those big clear indicators just dead all the time.
I agree, if you have a dark colored tail, those bulbous indicators and the pointy tail light remind me of Kilroy. I think it might have been the styling trend of 1940s throwback that was popular when the Gen2 came out. ...but see above, the really dark smoked lenses make the indicators all but invisible in the daytime.
