Marble Option

Are there ANY negative side effects to plugging the hose comming from the airbox with a marble?

I understand that that hose basically re-routes air from the airbox straight to the exhaust in order to pass emission standards and in the process "stealing" some of the air that could potentially go to the engine for more power.

So... what happens to the bike (besides getting more air to the engine) when you plug the hose with a marble? Is it really ALL good? or any evil side-effects?

As long as it's something that will seat well and stay in place.

I plugged mine recently and have had no unexpected side effects. Backfire problem was instantly gone, and I don't sound like a Harley pulling up to a stoplight anymore.

the only down side is that condisation will build and in the future will rust out the small pipes
