Just dropped my Busa off for it's 14.5k service (has 14,800 on it). Will be doing the oil, plugs, and a valve inspection this time; and it will be getting done free!

I purchased the bike with 9k on it last Sept, and the original owner had a "Preferred Maintenance Plan" on it, which is good through the end of this year still. Cost me $50 to transfer it over to my name. This will be my third service using the plan since I got it, so I'm probably up to about $1000 in free service and a free tire (originally came with two). The original owner paid $1300 for the 36 month plan. I can't complain, I paid $8300 for the bike, and got the plan free. I figure by the end of this year I'll have gotten $2000 out of the PMP. Seems like a great deal if you rack up a lot of miles on your bikes, even at $1300.. and better yet, I got it for $50 :).

:beerchug: nice, as long as you trust the service department.

It is a great way to save money over the first couple years you own the bike. Like some of the other guys have said, it is only good if you have a service department that you can trust to do the work.

that's always been my big problem, the suzuki dealers in my area suck and i don't trust them at all to work on my 08 busa. I would much rather learn how to do the service on my own, which i have done on my last 2 bikes. As long as it's something that's not too involved like checking the valves or a clutch issue, i will never take my bike back to my dealer

thats what im talking about, i prefer to do everything myself that im capable of doing, i just don't trust any dealership, anytime i have to go in one i always make sure and wear my knee deep boots, cause it gets deep real quick...
