Lowering......

Can someone post a link to a picture of a 'Busa lowered in the rear only? I'm not really interested in lowering the front at all. I just want to see if it looks ok with the rear lowered only. I could not find any in the search topic thing.

Thanks in advance

Seen some pics and I have lowered my mine in the back first, so I had an eye view of what it looked like.

3" lowered in the back and not lowered in the front kind of makes the bike look funny if you ask me, kind of lopsided looking.

2" lowered in the rear looks good even with the front not lowered at all. Looks more level...

Bike looks more level, BG! How much lower was the single dogbone?

Ordered some bones to drop mine 1-1/2" in the rear and a new tree to drop in the front. Don't know how much or if I will lower the front but we'll see. Thanks.

Is the frame of an 04' different than the previous years? Cause i can't run the body panel under the shock area due to the bones hitting the mount for the fairing. I've got the adjustment holes on the bottom mounting bolt, if i try to set my bike to the stock height hole the end of the dogbone hits the frame.

How does lowering them affect the handling. Does it make it harder to dive into a turn.

Here's mine before I raised it back to stock. 2" down in rear, front stock...

4 things I didn't like:

- You could turn ok, but, you couldn't really drop. You just turned. I didn't like the feeling of having the rear wheel planted underneath you. I like the stock feel of having the sharper lean.

- I bottomed out here and there.

- With a passenger, I really bottomed out.

- Couldn't bring the front up very easy.

Thats what I figured. I have the lowering bones but never used them because i thought it would mess with the handling and wheelies. Now I did think if I ever go to the drag strip I would install them. They would help out on the low ETs.

But if you went to the road racing track or your favorite twisty road you would be screwed

all these new R1s & ZX 10s would be all over you. Thanks for the info

MeltDown, posted a thread a while back (can't remember how long) concerning your bike being auctioned on eBay. After seeing your pick I recognized it. Believe it was sometime back in June. Just wanted you to know if you didn't already.

Not trying to hijack your thread, Speedracerz, but saw the opportunity to let MeltDown know about his bike.  Found the previous thread with the eBay auction number.  <a href="https://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin/busa/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=6;t=15194;hl=bigbsbusa">MeltDownZ's Bike<a>

Damn, that is my bike!

Yeah, I don't know if the auction was terminated early or not but wanted you to know, if you didn't.
