Lowering it obviously decreases ground clearance which, in turn, decreases the tendency to wheelie because the center of gravity has moved closer to the ground. I lowered mine 1" up front (with a lowering clamp), and about 1-3/4" in the rear with the adjustable lowering links (middle hole). I like the lowered look and I regard the handling as "adequate" for a 3-day weekend at Deal's Gap with confidence. For hard turns, you have to muscle it more but there is no instability. Using the 3rd (or last) hole in the lowering links will "slam" the rear which is fine for drag racing--not so fine for everyday street riding. When lowered, the suspension should be adjusted stiffer to help compensate for the decreased ground clearance.
