Way to find your "Happy Place" dude.

I feel your pain (sort of).  I dropped mine off for some work to be done on Thurs and she'll be "under the knife" for about a week.  To make it worse, the weather is going to be the best it's been in weeks.  And - since the spouse's bike is out of commission until a motor mount is re-threaded, he boosted my other ride!
Thanks, Lisa! Yeah, I had a big grin on my face the whole time! I just wanted to keep going!

Ughhh - that stinks about your bikes! Swing on by and you can take Violet out

Heat index is now 113 here and it's supposed to be this hot into next week; I won't be riding anytime soon..

What happened to your leg? You look like I did last year when I got rearended from behind. I landed on my knee and tore my acl. Had surgery the week after and after 3 weeks after accident, I bought me a brand new busa since my other one was totaled. I bought it and actually drove it home. I had to get the guys from dealership help me bend my knee to get it on the peg and by the time I got home I was crying like a baby. Crying not because of the new busa, crying from the intense pain in my knee. I had no other way to get it home and believe it or not riding the busa the next couple weeks after that actually helped my knee to recover. I am sure the doctor would not like me to ride a bike so soon, but once you get on a busa you kind of forget all the bad things. My wife thinks I was a crazy person to get right on another busa. That is why I bought her a bike the same day I bought my busa. Since than she traded it in and got herself a busa. Anyways, I am glad that you are getting back on the saddle. Take small steps and try to be careful.

Mother's Day, playing soccer; running all out going for the ball - planted my left foot and turned... Tore my MCL, ACL, torn meniscus, and fractured my tibia

Was on crutches for 10 weeks waiting for the MCL to heal and trying to get motion back in my leg.

Doc finally scoped my knee and found the torn meniscus; repaired it. Last couple weeks, I've been greatly improving. Today, I'm walking with the brace, but without crutches! Getting stronger each day!

I'm still working on getting the range of motion; I'm to about 125 degrees. Doc thinks that late September I could be ready for ACL surgery. We'll see...

Damn. Your leg was more messed up than my leg was. I know my ACL surgery was a breeze. I did my own rehab since I am a weight lifter anyways. It will take a while to get 100% after the acl surgery alone. I used to leg press 1800 free weight pounds before injury. I did 1300 last week for 2 reps. The knee hurts when I go all out. Will probably take 2 years total time before you see it fully recover. If I did not lift weights it might had take longer. The doctor will probably tell you to not do any leg presses, leg extensions or squats. I say BS, I still will never do Squats, but after 5 weeks went by after the acl surgery and after the sweeling went down I started my leg workout below. Yes, it will hurt and you will cry that night, but after a few weeks go by you will see your muscles around the knee will get stronger. In the begginning you may workout your legs (1) a week only for the first 3 weeks. Than after 3 weeks that you work them 2x a week every week. This is what I did and still do today but with both legs on leg press and on the leg extension I go moderate heavy now. I workout my whole body, this is just what I did for my legs. I hope that this info helps. Trust me I have been where you were and probably not as bad though since you had other injuries that I did not have.

4x one legged presses (light weight)(After 3 months, do both legs the sametime moderate weight)
4x Standing leg curls (Weight where your feel comfortable)
4x reverse hack squats (Weight where your feel comfortable)
4x lying leg curls (Weight where your feel comfortable)
4x Leg extensions (extreme light weight until 6 months)
4x Calf Raises on Leg Press
4x Seated Calf Raises
Get on exercise bike and peddle 20 min
