If i ride my bike for 100 miles or so i got to tighten my header bolts and the wastegate bolts. They rattle out all the time. Can i use some loctite on them? If so what kind should i use? I've got red in my tool box. I know this is probably been posted before, sorry.... Thanks for the help!

Look into the euro serrated washers...

What type of flange do you have? Go with a slightly thicker or bettor yet a steel one. Most bolt problems occure from flange bending when hot...I used red loctite on my bolts also, If you ever have to take them apart again they will with a little umph!!!

Ive seen turbo headers reach 1200 degrees. You gotta remember turbos opperate at very high revs. So the temp for associated parts is going to be rediculous.

I'm pretty sure they are aluminum. I've had bad luck with them before bending and then snaping the bolts when you try to tighten them. I'll try red first and I'll let you guys know how it works out for me.

I'm trying to get the bike reliable enough for a 2000 mile road trip in may! Its my first turbo bike and so far i do not trust it!

Thanks for all the replies, This board is great. I have studied it for 2 years or so before making my first post. Ton of great info:thumbsup:

only aluminum turbo exhaust manifolds I have ever seen are watercooled boat systems..

S4L has the cheapest easiest option with the serrated washers.. there are also "swedged self lockers" that do NOT use nylon, another good option.. No loctite for me and anti-seize is a good idea too.. I had a part number posted for the self lockers from fastenal, will see if I can find it again..
