Left and right on any vehicle are determined from the operators point of view -- always (unless its a boat-- then port/starboard apply)

I was pretty sure left/right was based on the rider's p.o.v., but wanted to be sure. And yeah, I knew I'd get a few pokes by posting this.... it's all cool and doesn't bother me.
