LEDs hook up

Just got 3 sets of LEds. Can anybody explain how to hook up a series of led's with toggle switch.

red to red, black to black. Black to ground, red to one side of the switch and then other side of switch to power. TA DA!! you got light. Easy and simple. any questions, just shot me a pm and Ill help ya out
