Law enforcement problems with H.I.D. lights

as stated earlier, stay away from anything which looks blue or purple. HID is becoming the standard in high end cars and SUV/pickups. It should not be an issue. Make sure you aim them properly, not blinding an oncoming driver.

going out on a limb here, but the basic lighting requirements in Texas are that the only colors visible from the front is white or amber, rear is red or amber(except for white tag light & reverse). if the leo wanted to press the issue (fishing or just being a
d!@#) could nail you for a blue hue. a friend got a ticket for having bluedots on his harleys taillight.

Wish we could get some current LEOs to chime in. I have a HID but was bought from member here and not sure of intensity. It is bright. I have passed many Florida Leos and no one has pulled me over, get flashed by cars once in a while but I know they see me

Hardly have anyone pull out in front of me anymore. Mine seems to have a slight blue tint, mostly blue as it warms up then is mostly white.

the only problem I have is in the fall/ winter early in the morning I get hassled at the base gates for having such a bright light.
