May 21, 2006 -- A 21-year-old Fort Bliss soldier is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle along Loop-375.
According to sheriff's deputies on the scene, the young man was traveling at a high rate of speed when the bike clipped the guard rail and sent him flying off the speed bike.
Investigators say the man, who is not from El Paso, was riding with friends at the time who did their best to aid the young man before emergency services arrived.
Sheriff deputies say the 21-year-old had just bought the speed bike one week ago.
