Windy ride yesterday...

Misty and I started out on a ride yesterday (2 up on the Busa) here is NW Arkansas. We were going to head over to Tulsa (about 100 miles away) to see my son and have some fun on our day off. We knew it was windy, but decided to give it a try. We did 35 miles of wind before deciding it just wasnt worth it. Funny thing is we turned around right after we had a couple big wind gusts of probably 30 - 40 mpg + and we saw a white funeral hearse going by in the opposite direction. I decided that was my sign and turned around  - the wind wasnt that bad when we were on the backroads and we had some trees blocking us but when we got on the interstate it started getting really bad. I felt beat up and spanked when I got home after a total of 70 miles on a very windy roundtrip.

We proceeded to get in the car and head to Tulsa instead...sorry fellow Tulsa Busa riders, we didnt have time to call or stop by as we were going to see my son/daughter and have some dinner. We ended up going to Casa Bonita - a themed mexican restaurant where the decor was great but the food wasnt so great. After which we dropped my son and daughter back off at home before heading to the Casino. We played about 5 minutes (I was winning wouldnt you know it when we saw a huge storm coming up on the TV). We cashed out and headed to the car to find a torrential downpour. I got soaked getting the car for Misty, then we proceeded home in heavy rain...finally, out ran the storm. What a day! Anyway a few pics from yesterday...

Me on the Busa.

Laserville sign...thought this was funny for all of you that have been lasered in the middle of nowhere by law enforcement...

Notice the last...my favorite of Misty

+1000 I'm about tired of all this wind & shiddy weather.
Get teased with 80 degrees then it snows can we just have spring?

Ummm, just so you know, the sign is LOSERVILLE. As in, any assorted small town in Arkansas.

I unfortunately lived in Waldron, AR for about a year before I couldn't take it anymore. My teeth were falling out and my IQ was dropping 5pts a day. Had to get out of Loserville.

Wind is rough. Especially a cross wind that moves almost a foot from side to side. Going across bridges can be outrageous at times

amen on this crappy weather we got tons of rain late yesterday!!!! come on Spring, i guess the cold is making up for the couple 80* days we had in Jan and Feb!:moon:

+1 on the wind and man has it been windy in FL. Gotta keep both hands on her or she will wander away at times in 20-30 mph gusts.:banghead:
